PBS Plumbing – “Worst Hot Water System” Giveaway Terms and Conditions

  1. Promoter
    This giveaway is conducted by PBS Plumbing QLD Pty Ltd (“Promoter”).
  2. Eligibility
    Entry is open to residents of Queensland, Australia, aged 18 years or older. Employees of PBS Plumbing and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
  3. Entry Period
    The giveaway opens on 1st June 2025 and closes at 11:59 PM AEST on 30th June 2025.
  4. How to Enter
    To enter, participants must:
  • Take a photo of their current hot water system.
  • Post the photo in the comments of the official giveaway post on the PBS Plumbing Facebook or Instagram page, including their postcode.
  • Like or Follow the PBS Plumbing Facebook or Instagram page.
  • Share the giveaway post publicly on Facebook or tag a friend on Instagram.

Only one entry per household will be accepted.

  1. Minimum Entries Required
    A minimum of 20 valid entries must be received across PBS Plumbing’s social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram combined) for the prize to be drawn. If fewer than 20 valid entries are received, PBS Plumbing reserves the right to cancel or extend the giveaway.
  2. Prize
    The winner will receive their choice of ONE of the following prizes:
  • A Thermann or Everhot electric storage system up to 250 litres, supplied and installed to replace the existing unit in the same location; OR
  • A Thermann instant gas hot water system up to 26 litres, supplied and installed to replace the existing unit in the same location.

*Changes to technology are not permitted; existing pipework is used beyond the hot water unit. Additional costs may occur if work is required outside of the above-mentioned price.

Prize includes standard installation only. Any upgrades or additional plumbing work will incur extra costs.

  1. Winner Selection
    The winner will be selected by PBS Plumbing based on the condition and worst of the hot water systems submitted. The most rundown, rusty, leaky, or unreliable system (in the opinion of the PBS team) will be deemed the winner, this may also be placed on a poll for the public to vote.
  2. Notification and Claiming the Prize
    The winner will be contacted via direct message and publicly announced on PBS Plumbing’s Facebook and Instagram pages by 5th July 2025. If the winner does not respond within 7 days, a new winner may be selected.
  3. Prize Conditions
  • The winner must be the homeowner or have written consent from the property owner.
  • Installation must take place within 45 days of notification.
  • The prize is not transferable, refundable, or redeemable for cash.
  • Replacement must occur in the same location as the existing unit.
  1. Use of Content
    By entering the giveaway, participants consent to PBS Plumbing using submitted photos, first names, and any comments for marketing and promotional purposes.
  2. Disclaimer
    PBS Plumbing is not responsible for late, lost, or misdirected entries. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify entries that do not comply with these terms.
  3. Privacy
    Any personal information collected will be used strictly for administering this promotion and in accordance with PBS Plumbing’s Privacy Policy.
  4. Right to Cancel or Amend
    PBS Plumbing reserves the right to modify, cancel, or extend the giveaway if required due to unforeseen circumstances or failure to meet minimum entry numbers.
